A/C 410 is a mixture of high purity propane R290 and ethane R170. A/C 410 is a refrigerant with reduced global warming potential (GWP). It is designed to replace R410a and R32 in most residential and commercial stationary air conditioning systems.

Simply put, the hydrocarbon refrigerant is safe to use in refrigerators and air conditioning systems as well. However, like petrol, solvents and other common volatiles, hydrocarbon refrigerant is highly flammable, so its release should be prevented when an ignition source is present.
